This has been a nice summer and September started with lots of different things to do, like the Vinho Verde Wine Festival which started yesterday in Alfandega in Miragaia. 

 

Vinho Verde is not a grape varietal. The name literally means “green wine,” but translates as “young wine”, as opposed to mature wine. It may be red, white or rosé, and it is meant to be consumed within a year of bottling. In its early years of production, the slight effervesce of the wine came from malolactic fermentation taking place in the bottle.

 

In this Festival you can get the chance to try different casts and brands of Vinho Verde. There’ll be wine tastings with more than 150 wines, show cookings and DJ’s! We’ll be there too!

So if you’re in Porto, come and try this amazing experience! Of wine, music, food and more! It closes at 2am.

Este ha sido un buen verano y septiembre comenzó con un montón de cosas diferentes que hacer, como el Festival Verde Vinho Vino que comenzó ayer en Alfandega en Miragaia.

Vinho Verde no es una variedad de uva. El nombre significa literalmente “vino verde”, pero se traduce como “vino joven”, en lugar de madurar el vino. Puede ser de color rojo, blanco o rosado, y está destinado a ser consumido dentro de un año de embotellado.
